SEASCAPES AND LANDSCAPES IN WATERCOLOUR

Times: 9.30 – 4pm both days

Perfect for beginners and intermediate artists alike who want to strengthen their watercolour technique,
loosen up their approach, and feel more confident painting nature in watercolour.
In this 2-day workshop we’ll explore the beautiful landscapes and seascapes of Australia,
with each painting helping you gain confidence while keeping your brushwork loose and expressive.

We’ll start with short exercises to warm up, then complete four paintings:
two landscapes and two seascapes, each looking at different challenges.
You’ll learn to design strong compositions, create mood through skies and atmosphere,
and capture light at different times of day.

Along the way, we’ll apply core watercolour techniques: wet-in-wet for skies and soft transitions,
dry brush for texture and detail, and developing a looser, more energetic style that brings your work to life.
