Tinting White – Langridge – 300ml Caulking – Series 2
Replaces zinc white
With the decision to remove zinc oxide came the opportunity to build a new white from scratch.
We wanted to create a genuine transparent white with minimal opacity whilst still providing coverage. Barium Sulphate (synthetic baryte) in oil is so transparent that its opportunity to help tint is limited to very weak colours.
By including a limited amount of titanium dioxide we were able to build a controllable mixing white that can be used to modulate colours without overpowering them.
