The Acanhpanax timber yields the silkiest smooth charcoal I have ever used. It glides over the paper surface imparting beautiful flow and soft edges to your line and masses. It’s tone ranges from light and delicate to silvery dark grey masses. The square shape rather than round implies more graphic marks if you desire. The softness of the tone is perfect for modelling delicate edges and gradations.
