Workshop Description
Oils can feel confusing at first, but with a clear plan and a good foundation,
you can start painting with confidence.
Oil paint is a wonderfully versatile medium. Its slow drying time gives you
the freedom to refine shapes, create smooth transitions, and build subtle shifts in light and colour.
With an understanding of the basic principles, you can avoid many of the 
common frustrations and enjoy the process of learning to paint in oils.
There is a lot to take in when you are starting with traditional oil painting and particularly, mixing the colours.
This workshop is designed to make that process manageable.
We will address some of the most common questions and explore both the theory and practical techniques needed to work confidently with oils.

Paint, mediums and reference images will be supplied.

Materials to bring:
2010 palette knife
Disposable palette
4 x A4 canvas panels
Note book
3 x Small jars or medium pots
Soft cotton rag
